In Solidarity, We Rise -
For Every Educator,
For Every Student,
and Every School.
Candidate Statement
I am running for re-election because our educators deserve a President who will continue advocating fiercely for their safety, well-being, and workload. The challenges facing our schools are real, and educators need strong, experienced leadership that keeps our members and students at the center of every decision. I remain committed to this work and to ensuring every member feels supported, respected, heard, and valued.
As a K–12 certified music educator with 26 years of experience teaching every grade level, I am deeply rooted in the realities of our classrooms. For the past three and a half years, it has been my honor to serve as your full-time release President, guiding our union through unprecedented challenges and navigating new district initiatives.
Your support will enable me to continue leading with care, purpose, and unwavering commitment to every educator, every student, and every school. Together, we can build on the strong foundation we’ve created, strengthening our collective voice and ensuring that everyone has a safe, supportive place to work and learn. It is an honor to serve as your HEA President, and I humbly ask for your vote to continue this work.
